  • “The Odd Couple” – But Not the One You Think

General NewsForge Theatre is proud to open it's 48th season with Neil Simon’s comedy, “The Odd Couple – The Female Version” September 25 to 27 and October 1 to 3.

In this hilarious reversal of a comedy classic, Oscar and Felix have been transformed into Olive and Florence. The basic plot is the same (Olive, a recently-divorced slob, offers temporary haven to Florence, a hypochondriacal neat-freak), but instead of a poker game, the girls have gathered to play a raucous game of “Trivial Pursuit.”

Instead of the Pidgeon sisters, we meet the Constanzuela brothers, recently arrived from Spain and who speak perfect English “once in a while.”

The Odd Couple – Female Version” is directed by Robert Marsch. The cast includes Rebecca Boyer, David Cashell, Nancy Dolan, Sherry Maccario, Mike Riamondo, Bev Smith, Pam Taylor, and Christa Wisneski.

Forge Theatre brings high-quality, year-round live theatrical entertainment to the Phoenixville community. Forge Theatre is at 241 First Avenue in Phoenixville.
